What is the procedure to download the stuff from Nokia web site?

I have 6610i with air tel pre paid.I have an Internet connection of BSNL for my PC.How could i download the stuff from nokia site.Is it necessry to have an Internet connection with mobile also? I have data cable for my mobile 6610i.Please some body clarify my doubt.thank u.
