The second of two new Nokia 6500 models is the Nokia 6500 Slide, brother to the previous Nokia 6500 Classic but with a very different design and some more advanced features.

The Nokia 6500 Slide is actually named after a model that was released over 7 years ago but bears no resemblance to it like the other recent model release the Nokia 6500 Classic.

The 6500 Slide offers a better camera and is a sliding handset whereas the 6500 Classic is a candy-bar format phone but concentrates more on the materials and looks of the device.

The Nokia 6500 Slide has now been released on Vodafone in the UK, this is great news for consumers as there is now an even bigger choice of tariffs when trying to find the right one to suit their useage requirements.

Originally released on O2 and Orange, the Nokia 6500 Slide was then launched on T-Mobile and more recently on pay as you go and as a SIM Free handset completing the network rollout.

Based on the design of the Nokia 6280 and 6288 handsets and unlike the Nokia 6500 Classic, this version of the 6500 is a slider.

The Stainless Steel casing provides extra protection against everyday knocks and scuffs whilst the extensive features take care of business.

The Nokia 6500 Slide offers slightly better power management than that of the Nokia 6500 Classic, with 6 hours of talktime and 310 hours on standby and includes all of the basic features available in the 6500 Classic such as the built-in MP3 Player, web browser, email, instant messaging, EDGE technology, UMTS support and so forth.

And as with the Classic version, the Nokia 6500 Slide is a 3G enabled handset but the camera has been boosted up to 3.2 mega pixels with the introduction of Carl Zeiss Optics and the inclusion of a secondary camera for video calling is a bonus plus you’ve also got FM Radio with RDS.

Other enhancements available with the Slide version of the Nokia 6500 include a TV-out jack so Video clips and images can be played/viewed on your Television screen as well as enabling TV Video Calls & Conference Calls and then seperately you’ve also got A2DP Stereo support with Bluetooth.

The Nokia 6500 Slide has now been fully launched on all UK networks and its latest release on Vodafone will please many of the networks enthusiasts who enjoy their ‘stop the clock’ tariff feature where the customer can talk for up to an hour and only pay for the first 3 minutes.

The Nokia 6500 Classic is on eof many new launches on Vodafone, if you would like any further information please feel free to visit our online mobile phones shop.

The latest Nokia 6500 Slide Black has now been released in the UK and adds to the already popular Nokia 6500 Slide Silver edition.

The new black Nokia 6500 slide offers exactly the same features and technology as the original silver edition but with a sleek and nysterious new Black exterior casing.

This new 3G enabled phone has been initially released on Orange in the UK with further network launches expected soon, whilst the original Nokia 6500 Slide has been available for over 3 months on Orange, O2, T-Mobile, 3 Mobile and Vodafone aswell as pay as you go and as a sim free handset.

Part of the Nokia 6500 range, the new Nokia 6500 Slide Black is in good company with the Nokia 6500 Classic range which has also expanded recently to accommodate a new Bronze colour variant.

And as with the Classic version, the Nokia 6500 Slide is a 3G enabled handset but the camera has been boasted up to 3.2 mega pixels with the introduction of Carl Zeiss Optics and the inclusion of a secondary camera for video calling is a bonus plus you’ve also got FM Radio with RDS.

Based on the design of the Nokia 6280 and 6288 handsets and unlike the Nokia 6500 Classic, this version of the 6500 is a slider.

The new Black Steel casing provides extra protection against everyday knocks and scuffs whilst the extensive features take care of business.

If there is one mobile phone manufacturer which has the ability to design one model after another – that is none other than Nokia. From the seemingly ancient Nokia 3210 model, the company has released almost a hundred models now. For a consumer, their system of naming phone models is quite confusing since there are so many to choose from.

However, there is a way for you to narrow down your search. For example, if you are looking for a particular form factor, you can choose from Nokia’s line of:
- Classic mobile phones
- Candybar mobile phones
- Slide mobile phones
- Twist mobile phones
- Mobile phones will full QWERTY keyboard

Nokia 6600: Set to be Released on Q3 2008

One of the best ways to keep up with the latest phones that Nokia has to offer is to check out their soon-to-be-released mobile phone models.

The Nokia 6600 is set to be released in the market by the third quarter of 2008. This slide mobile phone is the successor of the Nokia 6500 slide.

Nokia 6600 Slide Features Set

The Nokia 6600 slide has the following features:
- 240×320 pixel coloured LCD screen
- 18 MB internal memory
- Bluetooth/USB connectivity
- FM radio
- MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA media player

Nokia 6600 Slide Review

Although the phone has yet to be released in the market, online reviewers are already raving about the form factor of the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone. If you are looking for a stylish handset which fits right into your pocket, this is exactly the phone that you are looking for.

So what makes the Nokia 6600 slide worthy of a second glance when compared with the other slide phones available in the market today? First, there is the really attractive casing, display screen and slide opening system. As compared to the other Nokia fold phones, the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone is made from a classy, high-gloss black material.

The keypad can be easily accessed when you open the slide mobile phone. It has a blue lighting effect for ease of use. The screen also has excellent quality, with high resolution.

The Nokia 6600 Slide is a Good Camera Phone

Just like the most recent Nokia phone models, the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone doubles as a nifty digital camera. It has a 3.2-Megapixel camera with autofocus. You can play with a few special effects and there is also the standard video recording feature.

More importantly, the compact case packs 3G video calling – so fans of this technology will not be disappointed.

One downside to this phone, however, is the direction pad. It is quire unreliable and a bit awkward to use. Also, the charging connection is just run-of-the-mill.

To sum it all up – if you’re a fan of the brand and you like to have a lot of features power-packed in such a small, handy and sleek-looking phone, then the Nokia 6600 slide is definitely the mobile phone for you.
