HP pavilion laptop (dv2000) with Vista shows only black screen when turned on and makes a noise like a CD spinning – but no CD in drive. Could not shut down using task manager or any method other than manual shut-down. I have tried to restart 3 times but same response. Any suggestions?

How does HP’s three time return policy for exchanging laptops work? I know that after you send it in the fourth time, they let you pick a new laptop, but how does that picking work? Do they send you the same one or do they let you pick a new model that fits in a certain price range or something like that?

I have an hp pavillion and there is a little switch that turns blue when it works but for some reason when I turned it on this morning it was just orange, like when its not turned on. Its not that its not connecting to a certain network, it doesnt even pick up the network signal at all. Please help!

Right now there’s a sale where I can get HP ink cartridges for my printer for 25% off, but because part of the savings is a volume discount, I have to buy at least 6 combo packs (1 black + 1 tricolor each). Should I be worried about some of the cartridges’ drying out before I ever get the chance to use them? How long will an HP cartridge last if I don’t open its packaging and just keep it in my desk?

I have a HP pavilion laptop. The thing stopped getting a charge from the power cord. I have checked and the problem is not with the power cord or the battery. I am certain it is the power jack. If I could get the laptop opened, my husband could fix the jack. However, we cannot figure out how to get the darned thing open. Does anyone know how?

I have two HP inkjet printers and they both want to run a test page when I turn them on–which wastes a lot of ink, paper and time. The one I am currently using didn’t run a test page except when I put in a new cartridge, but for the last week it wants to run a test every time I turn it on. I can’t leave it on all day because I need to conserve power. I want to turn it on just when I need to print.

When I placed a notebook on my laptop, it accidently removed one of the keys on my HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop. I tried to put it back, but Im having a hard time. Ive called customer support but they said I would have to buy a new laptop so they were of no help to me.

Are there any tricks or tips that will help me put back the key into the keyoard?
