My phone broke the other day, the key pad wont work, but i have a number of text messeges that may be important. Is there any way that I can some how retrieve them through desktop manager if I connect my blackberry pearl to my computer? I have been trying to figure it out for a while now but I am not very computer/phone smart.

I just got a Blackberry Pearl flip (8820), and I am wondering if there is a way to use a button to switch to a different word. For example, when you spell the word “fault” the first word that comes up is “daily.” Instead of going to the trackball to switch between words I would prefer to use a button on the phone. Moving up to the trackball slows down texting speed a little and it adds up when writing a long email.

My sister wants the white blackberry pearl, but it’s not offered through Sprint. However, it’s available from Alltel and T-Mobile. She found one she wanted that was unlocked on ebay and she needs to know if she can use it and ujst activate it on the sprint network (and, if she can, can she do it w/o getting the blackberry media package?) I got my Blackberry Pearl a few months ago and I use it way too often and the trackball is started to get slightly brown/yellow. I’ve already tried rubbing alcohol on the trackball but it didn’t work. How can I clean the trackball so it’s back to being white?

I’ve just purchased the Blackberry Pearl. I’m really liking the phone, but not happy with the software (includinging the installer). Where is a good place to find freeware for this device? Do you recommend a different installer?

I know about the Benny Chow Pacman, but the download jad file doesn’t not work and is not recognized by the Blackberry Pearl. I have the device manager downloaded and the application loader, but still no luck with downloading Pacman to phone. Is there another PacMan game for the Blackberry?

I recently bought a Blackberry Pearl from someone. I tried activating it online and it says the account is suspended. I talked to a customer rep, and she told me that the person who had this phone before owes money on it and I can’t activate it until they pay it off.

Is there any way to start fresh with a new account and phone number, and let the other person deal with the bill?
