Samsung rant and displaying the date on the main screen?

Hey,
I just got the Samsung Rant from Sprint yesterday and I’m kind of disappointed that it doesn’t display the date on the main screen. Is there any way I can get it to display the date along with the time? Thanks.
Thank you, I’ve looked in the manual under several topics but have not found it.
