On the Blackberry 8320, does the OZ aim client incur a data charge for logging in or viewing your buddy list?

I plan on purchasing a blackberry 8320 curve with an unlimited text plan, but only if I’m not charged for data. Basically, my question is if I can log into AIM on blackberry with an unlimited texting plan, without getting charged ANYTHING extra.

In my understanding AIM is an instant messaging app…thus this app will operate through your data plan / internet….if you do not have an internet plan then you will be charged when you use it.
If you intend on using AIM you might want to go for unlimited data as well. I went for the unlimited data and text message. Saved myself money all the way round since the 3 phones on my account we use both text and instant messaging. (2 Blackberries – wife and I + daughter)
