I bought an unlocked sony ericsson k800i and i want to put the service on it from a Sprint samsung a640. Can?

The sony ericsson does not have a SIM card or any service. My samsung a640 is currently on the sprint network with my phone number. It does not contain a SIM card but i have read that it has a transferrable code number of service? What do I do?
