Does HP take laptop hard drive when you send my laptop to get it fixed

I know Dell sometimes makes you take out your laptop hard drive before you send it to them to get it fixed for privacy purposes. I have a micro sd card and an adapter for the nokia phone though i don’t know how to add songs in the micro sd card and play it in my phone please tell me how to do this.
