How do I fix a Samsung Pen Drive that corrupts files when they are added to it?

I have a Samsung Pen Drive (memory stick). When I add files to it, they sometimes become corropted. Is there a way to fix this so that the files will not become corrupted? Is there a way to format the drive? Or is it just junk?
