How do I clean the Blackberry Pearl trackball?

I got my Blackberry Pearl a few months ago and I use it way too often and the trackball is started to get slightly brown/yellow. I’ve already tried rubbing alcohol on the trackball but it didn’t work. How can I clean the trackball so it’s back to being white?
