Do you need to subscribe for data plan in order for the GPS to be functional in Nokia N95?

I want to buy Nokia N95, but don’t want to pay for the monthly data plan subscription.Currently, I’m using a prepaid sim card. AT&T Pay As You Go prepaid plan. I don’t need to browse internet on Nokia N95, my only concern is the GPS feature? Will it work with a prepaid plan?

yep sure it will – in fact you can use gps in offline mode, just have it set to gps and not a-gps in the settings within the maps app, this uses cell packet data to help the gps and so can incur extra charges. You need a nokia subscription for voice directions, however there are free ones out there such as garmin xt mobile. hope this helps.
