Can O2 charge my account a day before the bill is due?

my o2 bill is due on the 20th, which is a saturday. am i right in thinking they cannot charge my account on the friday (19th). i need to know as i wont have the money for it until friday which would be too late if they do take it before the weekend. my dad says they cant take it out before the due date. is he correct?
